Warm and Cool White in One Edison Bulb
A classic E27 Edison bulb with three warm white and three cool white LED filaments in one glass. One DC polarity lights the warm set at 3,000 K, the reverse polarity lights the cool set at 6,500 K.
Driven by a dual-polarity dimmer, every festoon line or every single bulb blends between the two whites, so one installation carries a warm dinner, a fresh dusk and a party effect.

Each bulb holds two sets of LED filaments. Applying DC voltage in one polarity lights the warm white filaments (typ. 3,000 K); reversing it lights the cool white filaments (typ. 6,500 K). Both sets have CRI > 82 and an efficiency of about 150 lm/W.
Because the white is chosen by polarity, the bulb needs a dimmer that drives both polarities on the same two wires: Xmas Dimmer over DMX, or the Powered Bulb Dimmer Dual Polarity over SPI. A standard single-polarity LED dimmer would light only one of the two sets.

Festoon Lines on Xmas Dimmer
Each of the eight Xmas Dimmer outputs drives both polarities and uses two DMX channels: one for warm white, one for cool white. We recommend one bulb per output for individual control and up to four bulbs per output as a group, with no more than 24 bulbs on one dimmer.
The dimmer runs from an external supply set to 33 V DC; the bulb datasheet's wiring example uses a Mean Well LRS-35-36 or LRS-50-36 adjusted to 33 V. The whole setup is explained in our guide to dimmable festoon lights for weddings and terraces.

Edison CCT Bulb MEGA SET
The MEGA SET pairs 64 Edison Dual White Bulbs with one Powered Bulb Dimmer Dual Polarity, its PowerCON power cable and 64 two-pole terminal plugs, for installations where every bulb should move on its own. E27 lamp holders, fixtures and the cable to each socket are not included, because they depend on the installation.
Each of the 64 dimmer outputs drives one bulb at 33 V with two 8-bit channels, one per white. Data comes from LEC3 or SPI Matrix, with up to 16 dimmers on one controller output; for a DMX desk, an SPI LED Controller converts the signal.
The Powered Bulb Dimmer Dual Polarity is also sold on its own, the lower-cost option when you already have the bulbs or drive dual-polarity Christmas light strings.

FAQ
It holds two sets of LED filaments wired in opposite directions. DC voltage in one polarity lights the warm set, the reverse polarity lights the cool set, and a dual-polarity dimmer alternates between them to blend any white in between.
Dimmers that drive both polarities at 33 V: Xmas Dimmer over DMX, and the Powered Bulb Dimmer Dual Polarity over SPI, which is part of the MEGA SET. A standard LED dimmer outputs one polarity and lights only one filament set.

No. The bulb runs on 33 V DC. Label the 33 V cables so nobody plugs them into a mains socket or screws a mains bulb into the line. Background in Dimmable Festoon Lights for Weddings.
Yes. Xmas Dimmer takes DMX directly. The MEGA SET dimmer expects WS2811 data, so a DMX desk drives it through an SPI LED Controller that converts the signal.
Give each bulb a two-channel fixture on red and green, one channel per colour temperature. Do not use a three- or four-channel RGB fixture.
No. The MEGA SET contains 64 bulbs, the dimmer with its PowerCON cable and 64 terminal plugs. Standard E27 lamp holders and the two-wire cable to each socket are chosen for the installation; the dimmer terminals take 0.5–1.5 mm² wire.
The bulb datasheet specifies −10 °C to +45 °C and non-condensing humidity and gives no IP rating, and the MEGA SET dimmer is IP30 for indoor use. Plan for a covered terrace, a pergola or indoor use, and ask us before a permanent outdoor installation.
The dimmers run PWM above 1,000 Hz, but switching between the two polarities always leaves a little flicker, even at full brightness. Test the bulbs with your own camera and frame rate before critical filming. Background in Pixel LED for Video Production Sets.
