We have greatly expanded your options while using DMX Synchronization. Before firmware 3.55Â you could only use HTTP triggers, buttons or Web Player to play the effects. With the newest version you can use the DMX as a trigger !
We strongly recommend to update the firmware to all new and existing users :)Â
In the Web configuration for each device you will now find, in Advanced settings, an option to set Master or Slave. You Master device is the one sending commands to Slaves, thus you will use the DMX IN on the front panel to connect your DMX signal source in order to trigger the effects.Â
And there is more! This update also brings an option to use the DMX OUT on your last Slave device in a daisy chain to play the effects from the card on you Analog LED strips simultaneously. BTW, did you know you can combine digital and analog strips with single LED controller?. You can easily combine different technologies in a stand-alone mode.Â
Even more good news from this update are that you can also set respctive modes for DMX and Art-net. What does it mean? The settings, whether you are triggering the animations (SD Card Mode) or controlling individual pixels (Pixel mode) were shared between the two. Now you are setting them up independently!Â
In practice, you can use DMX to trigger specific effects from the card and once the DMX is disconneted, you can use Art-Net to send the data from your software live.Â
Once again, if you have an option to update the firmware, do it :)Â
