Technical Specifications
Featuring nearly 2000 individually controlled pixel LEDs adorning its body, the robot is seamlessly operated using the LED Ethernet Controller 3 device. However, we’ve enhanced its capabilities by incorporating standard Wi-Fi and DMX Wi-Fi to ensure flawless performance without any interruptions.
Why Two Wireless Technologies?
Despite the reliability of standard wireless networks used by Ethernet devices, challenges arise when large audiences are present. To mitigate this, we utilize standard Wi-Fi for testing and show development. Once the show is ready for performance, we seamlessly transition to wireless DMX for synchronization purposes.
Yes, you heard correctly – synchronization. Our use of DMX extends beyond scene triggering; it facilitates synchronization data transmission to the robot. Even if initial signal reception is compromised, the robot automatically synchronizes to the master (computer) upon receiving DMX wireless data. This serves as a fail-safe to ensure uninterrupted performances.
Purpose
With all those pixels, clients can display logos, text, or even videos on the robot’s surface. People love taking photos with it, especially when it’s moving. We think it’s pretty awesome!
