The 3x SPI LED Controller bundle gives you three complete pixel controllers. Because you buy them together, you save 50 EUR on the single SPI LED Controller price. One goes into the install, another covers the second zone, and the third waits on the shelf. In short, that is how most pixel LED projects end up anyway.
What Does One SPI LED Controller Do?
Each unit drives up to 1024 addressable pixels from a single SPI output. It also works with the common WS, TM and APA LED families. So you can run it from a DMX512 lighting desk, or leave it entirely on its own.
DMX Pixel Mode For Live Console Control
In DMX pixel mode, your console addresses every LED pixel. A pixel can be one LED or a whole group of LEDs. Therefore you can trade resolution for channel count when a universe gets tight.
DMX Trigger Mode From the SD Card
In DMX trigger mode, the console carries no pixel data at all. Instead, a single channel calls up animations already stored on the micro SD card. As a result, the DMX line stays light and the show stays repeatable.
Standalone Playback Without a PC
Load the SD card, and the controller plays back in standalone mode on its own. The buttons on top switch effects by hand. So there is no software, no laptop and nothing to boot before the lights come up.
Why Buy the 3x SPI LED Controller Bundle?
Pixel projects rarely stay at one controller. A second zone appears, or a client asks for the shop next door. Sometimes a unit has to come out of the rack for a firmware change. Three identical boards therefore mean identical wiring, identical patching and a spare that already fits.
Connections, Power and DIN Rail Mounting
Two RJ-45 sockets carry DMX in and DMX out. Controllers therefore daisy-chain with ordinary network cable. If you need XLR, the user manual holds the full RJ-45 to 3-pin XLR adapter scheme. Power and SPI data sit on pluggable 5 mm terminal blocks.
Feed the board anything from 5 to 24 V to match your strip. The board itself draws only 0.3 A. Because up to 10 A passes through to the LEDs, strip and controller can share one supply. Each module is 22.5 mm wide, so it clips straight onto DIN rail.
