The Meanwell RSP-320-12 delivers 320 W at 12 V, or 26.7 A of continuous current, from a sealed metal case measuring just 215 \u00d7 115 \u00d7 30 mm. Where the RSP-320-12 earns its 320 watts<\/h2>\n

A 12 V pixel installation is limited by current, not by enthusiasm. Sixty per cent more amps than a 200 W supply means fewer units, fewer AC feeds and fewer terminal blocks to check on site. That is the whole argument for this model.<\/p>\n

Fan speed control, not a fan running flat out<\/h3>\n

Getting 320 W out of a 30 mm case needs air, so this one has a built-in DC fan. The fan is speed-controlled, so it stays slow while the load is light and only spins up when the supply is genuinely working. It is quiet, but it is not silent \u2014 where absolute silence matters more than power, use the fanless RSP-200-12<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n

The case is 30 mm tall and weighs 0.9 kg, so it drops into a 1U slot exactly like the 200 W model. You gain current without giving up a shelf, which matters in a touring rack where every unit of height is already spoken for.<\/p>\n

Powering WS2815 strip with the RSP-320-12<\/h2>\n

WS2815 runs on 12 V and loses far less voltage along a length of tape than a 5 V strip does. With 26.7 A behind it, one RSP-320-12 covers a serious run from a single mains feed, which keeps both the wiring and the commissioning simple.<\/p>\n

Sizing the supply against your run<\/h3>\n

Take the maximum draw your strip manufacturer states per metre, multiply by your length and keep roughly 20 % headroom. If the total passes 26.7 A, split the run and add a second supply with power injection rather than pushing one unit to its limit.<\/p>\n
